Side effects are usually mild and fade within days: redness, slight swelling, small bruises, tenderness or brief itching. Severe reactions are rare — contact us promptly if swelling persists, pain is severe or you see signs of infection.

• Avoid blood-thinning medication or supplements — aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil — for about a week, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
• Tell us about any allergies or previous reactions to injectables.
• Ensure the treatment area is free from infection such as active acne or cold sores.
• Stay well hydrated and eat well in the lead-up.
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after.
• Protect your skin from sun and avoid tanning beds.
• Avoid chemical peels or laser resurfacing close to your appointment.
